DEFENSIVE DRIVING PROGRAM for DEMERIT REDUCTION and STAFF DEVELOPMENT

Freedom to Drive is certified by the Canada Safety Council to teach the nationally recognized Defensive Driving Course.

Students with a valid Alberta Drivers License who participate in the DDC program and pass the knowledge exam with 80% or better will qualify (once every 2 years) for a 3 point demerit reduction on their license.

This course is also offered to employers for their personnel who operate passenger size vehicles as part of their work tasks. Managers, fleet safety officers and administrators are encouraged to ensure that staff members who drive company vehicles, or drive personal vehicles on company business, complete a Defensive Driving Course at least every two years, as part of their due diligence in the promotion of corporate safety. FREEDOM TO DRIVE will provide either on site training or professional development courses located at the Blue Quill Driver Training Centre.

The Defensive Driving Course is offered in two segments each weekend. The cost is $100.00 per person which includes GST. Corporate rates are also available for large groups.

The 6 hour course is held weekend evenings at the Freedom to Drive Training Centre, on Saturdays from 5:15 to 9:15 PM and on Sundays from 5:15 to 7:15 PM. Pre-registration and pre-payment are required.  Students must also submit the registration form found on this web site.
